CANOGA PARK LIBRARY

The original library was a tiny ‘box’ on a precarious hillside in La Crescenta.  A steel shipping container dropped onto the parking lot housed overflow materials and functions.

The new facility is capacious, suffused with light and oriented to capture mountain top views across the valley.  It has a large new collection, a children’s area, a proper staff work and lounge area, an independent community room, and two parking lots.

The project has been well received, garnering the local Chamber of Commerce award for ‘Best New Building’.
