This library is the 3rd most heavily used branch in the LA City system. There are multiple cultural collections (Chinese Heritage/Language, Spanish Language, Vietnamese Culture).  The site/building was designed w/ Feng Shui precepts.

Sustainable Features:  At the time of the design, LA City did not endorse LEED as a project goal. Nevertheless, we did incorporate many sustainable design features;  natural lighting to the building interior; rapidly renewable materials (e.g. bamboo flooring); recycled materials (e.g. carpet and carpet padding); recycled steel frame rather than wood frame; high performance glazing; etc.
